Our Scotch-Brite™ production clean and finish roll can be used by hand or on an oscillating machine and is an excellent choice when you need added durability for cleaning and finishing. It is designed for general scuffing, fine finishing, paint prep and other light cleaning. It conforms well to irregular surfaces for a clean, consistent finish while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut rate, hardness and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Compared to our standard Scotch-Brite™ clean and finish roll, this roll is denser and more resistant to tearing. It is also suitable for use on plastics, wood and fiberglass. Non-woven technology makes our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives unique. A combination of fiber strands, resin and abrasive mineral forms a thick, open web.
