Description

Our 3M™ Rocker Schutz™ coating is a tough, chip resistant coating developed specifically for restoring and protecting rocker panels and similar vehicle areas during collision repair. This coarse textured coating can be easily thinned and tinted to match OEM textures. Spray-on coating is very easy to use - it is tack free in as little as five minutes and paintable in as little as 30 min. We formulated our 3M™ Rocker Schutz™ coating for some of the most demanding collision repair jobs - repairing rocker panels and other vehicle areas that can be neglected even as they are exposed to salt and other chemicals close to the roadway. This tough, chip resistant coating contains nitrile rubber and has been tested for excellent adhesion to metals and primers as well as resistance to salt, moisture and small impact from sand and gravel. This is especially important for newer model trucks and other vehicles where rocker panels are more integral to the overall strength of the vehicle frame. The coating applies easily, becomes tack free in as a little as 5 min and is paintable in as little as 30 min to save time and money in the shop. 3M™ Rocker Schutz™ coating features a coarse consistency that is easily adjusted using lacquer-based thinner, making it easy to match OEM panel textures. It also is tintable with enamel or lacquer type paint for near exact color matching.
